This afternoon we sailed along the Rhine through steep hills covered in vineyards. Dotted along the river were castles, some in ruins and most looking faded and insignificant in the rainy blustery conditions. Acting like a crazed tourist, I snapped off photos madly but most of them were hazy, like the weather. I braved the conditions in a blanket and waterproof jacket and was rewarded with a few spots of brilliant sunshine and blue skies. Just like Melbourne, if you didn't like the weather, wait a minute!
